Preinstalled firmware version on PS3 320G Move Bundles in today's market

I'm in the Toronto area (maybe this doesn't matter), I am thinking of buying a BNIB (brand new in box) PS3 320G Move Bundle through Kijiji for the purpose of installing 3.55 KMEAW CFW. Does anyone have any recent experience of purchasing the same bundle with preinstalled firmware higher than 3.55? I am afraid of getting stuck with a higher FW Move Bundle.

yes it will be on 3.55 or lower everyone i sent to buy new ones for mod was below 3.55 new ps3 yet

your answer is confusing, I asked if people experienced getting fw higher than 3.55 and you answered yes...

I can't understand why you'd buy a new PS3 for the purpose of modding, makes more sense to buy one cheap... But anyway 3.56+ OFW has been around since late January, and generally the stuff you find in stores is a few months old. If you want a guaranteed JB'able console, get a 120GB, 250GB, or a fatty.

Look at the firmware required by the game in the bundle and you've got your answer ,right ? Check if the game requires 3.55 or less ( Killzone 3 , Medal of Honor , UFC Undisputed ) or requires 3.56+ ( Motorstorm Apocalipse , Virtua Tennis 4 ) I don't know about that Move bundle though .. might be 3.56

I got mine back in january, and it came with 3.50. It came with sports champions, the move, and it had netflix stuff all over the box.

Thanks for your input. It'd be very helpful if I get more feedback from people who purchased this same bundle within the last 1-2 months.

Just thought I share my experience with y'all: today I bought a 320G Move bundle through Kijiji and as soon as I open the boxes (there were 2) and looked at the unit it said manufactured in "August 2010"... I was beyond excited.

When I turned it on to check the fw it showed 3.40 !!!

Now it's time for CFW!
