I wonder if your system hardware can be damaged from all the XMB freezing the PL3/Level 2 patch causes. If there can be damage, is it really any safer than the Wankikiko CFW?

i dont think it could damage any software in your ps3 that would cause bricks.. but i think its more of hardware that could be damaged.. i could be wrong but thats just my opinion
The freezing could be caused by a lot of things. But if its from PL3/Lvl2 patch then it needs to be optimized to run better. But the sources has been released so expect someone to come up with something new.
Right now the best I can recommend you to do is either stay on OFW 3.55 or downgrade to OFW 3.41 and used the dongle to Jailbreak. The best FW is 3.41, everything has been working perfectly. Other than that I suggest you wait it out and be patient.
