Possible PSN alternative?

Can't we just take a server that already exists and give the PS3 that proxy setting and have it connect there.

But on topic, we have xlink kai. That's the closest we're going to get to PSN except updated and getting on PSN. Too much prerequisites that we don't have access to to do it.
