Is it possible to play ps1 games of usb without JB?

I was wondering if its possible to play ps1 Eboots of a USB on a ps3 on the firmware we are on now with firmware 3.41 or does it require a jailbreak?

Not possible yet. It is rumored that Backup Manager 1.1 will include this feature, but who knows.

This feature shoudn't be too hard to do really. If they've managed to make it run PS3 backups then PS1 ones should be able to run in a similar manner. Furthermore those with PS2 B/C will probably get to run those from a HDD (And hopefully us without that feature will get to eventually).
