Is it possible to jb while a disk inside the drive? –

I am asking this because I have some game that require a disk to be play and I am worrying excessive use the eject button and and mechanism would fail if i am to put in a game and the take out every time i want to play the game.
So I am thinking of keeping a disk inside the drive so there would be less tear and wear, is it possible ?

I've jailbroken quite a few times only problem is the disk will come out and hit your finger if you hold the eject button as I do, but if the question is w/o using the eject button then no. Maybe we won't have to when a CFW comes out with jailbreak implemented into it.

I leave a disk in my PS3 all the time. Even when starting it up with JB.
I just push it back in once it comes out on boot up.
JB still works fine.

I got to just where I hold my finger far enough down disc won't hit it (if it's in there or not)

Lol I thought u were talking about wearing out the eject button. I guess on the slim models.
anyways you can always eject discs from the xmb, just press triangle and go to eject. personally i prefer jb without any discs in.

It just goes to show how little faith we have in build quality these days. If you stop to think about it, it actually seems absurd to be worried about a disc based games console getting worn out ejecting a disc now and again. But the way things have regressed since the good old days, it's actually justified.

I guess you forgot about how horribly built the PS1, PSOne, PS2 and PS2 Slim were.
Dead lasers, disc read errors, broken spindles, etc.
Then again the 60GB PS3s did have the YLoD, but other than that they seem to be built like tanks, same with the Wii.
360 on the other hand... can't say the same, even though I love the heck out of that console as well.

I guess I must be a bit older than you. By the good old days I was thinking 1970's not PS1
