is it possible to jailbreak 4.20 without opening the ps3?

forgive me if this question has already been asked im new, also i have a few questions about jailbreaking 4.20

1. is it possible to unjailbreak it if i want to play online?

2. is there a way to jailbreak it and keep the online feature?

3. is it worth jailbreaking if you have no online?

You can't jailbreak a system on 4.20. You need to downgrade to 3.55 first.

To downgrade you need to get a E3 flasher or Progskeet, and your PS3 must have had 3.55 (or below) put on it at the factory.

Once downgraded you can jailbreak it. Once that is done:

1. is it possible to unjailbreak it if i want to play online?
Yes, simply update to the latest firmware.
2. is there a way to jailbreak it and keep the online feature?
Not currently.
3. is it worth jailbreaking if you have no online?
Yes.

I just want to add that using a E3 flasher or Progskeet, you then need to open your PS3.

thanks ....is there any talk about a new/simpler way to jailbreak it without opening it? like something they're working on?

Your probably better off just looking for a PS3 with 3.55 or below. Jailbreaking a 3.55 is super simple. All you need is a regular USB stick.

can i just factory restore my ps3 and see if it goes back to 3.55 and then buy the true blue?

No. That won't change the firmware. It'll just format the HDD and restore default settings.
