There have been ways to make something read as an avi in every single way possible yet as soon as you open it up it's a virus, now if we do something like that on the PS3 but instead of a virus it's an install PKG injector we can have homebrew on 3.60 and possibly disable the root kit.

Root kit? what root kit? I know math said he thought there was a root kit but he just misread something.

I thought Sony's own TOS for 3.60 stated they can remote connect at any time without notice?

Of course, I could be wrong... I never took the time to read it all.

Sorry i don't intend to insult you, but you suggestions are total useless.
It just shows, that you haven't even a basic understanding of how computers and their security system are working.

It is like a blind person is trying to teach picasso how to paint a colorful picture...

    So what....
ps3haze - I love the fact that everyone has these grand ideas with no idea what they're talking about... I'm not saying that I've done anything, but I have a good understanding of the complexities involved.

What he is trying to point out is that an image file such as a jpg, bmp or better yet a png, actually holds data other than that of the image. It can hold values and orientation detail all of wich can be in a hexcidecimal, octal and binary format and therefore can be manipulated. If a loophole can be found to crash, freeze and exploit the hardware it is more than possible however very unlikely. This is not a stupid concept just outdated and very unlikely that Sony would be so stupid to leave such a hole to poke.

    Well done for the thought....,
