Possible Easy Fast Downgrade?

Today I discovered something with the Ps3 OFW 1.00 debug. Im on kmeaw 3.55 firmware and I thought I'd give it a shot to see if my PS3 would let me install the 1.00 Debug and suprisingly it did. It showed it as 1.00 and I pressed install and it started but I quickly stopped it because if I brick I currently don't have a USB drive to fix the brick. If someone could test this for me to install the 1.00 firmware and then upgrade to a different firmware that would be great. Here's the link for the 1.00 debug pup.
