Pls Help PS3 CECHC03 jailbreak on 3.55 blue ray

Hi,

I have a PS3 on OFFICIAL FW 3.55. 60 GB cechc03

I would like to know if there is a way (permanent or temp) that I can jailbreak the device, whilst also having access to the blue ray player, and hopefully (but not essential) to PSN.

I am aware PSN was disabled last couple of weeks, but if i'm right there was a method, which was released today, which enabled PSN again.

The main issue is I don't want to loose Blue ray playback, is there any way around this?

Help would be much appreciated!

Use kmeaw 3.55, with lv2patcher and there you go!

Sorry to butt in, and hello all, I was about to ask a similar question to this one with regards retaining blu-ray playback!

I was wondering if you switch from CFW 3.55 (e.g. KMEAW version) to OFW 3.55 and vice versa, will you lose blu-ray playback in the process?

Kmeaw - LV2 Peek/Poke Patch Only (Doesnt Loose Blu-ray Playback, PS1, PS2 and such.)

Waninkoko v1 - Loose Bluray Playback, PS1, PS2 and high risk of bricking your console.

Waninkoko v2 - Revision from v1, Permanent LV2 patch for Backups and Peek/Poke. (Doesnt Loose Blu-ray Playback, PS1, PS2 and such.)

-- I recommend you to use Kmeaw instead.. with Multiman v1.15.05

If I did the kmeaw 3.55, with lv2patcher, would it also be possible to put the PS3 back to original state, IE. no J/B? Any are there any glitches/issues that can occur, I really don't want my PS3 to end up as a door stopper!?!

Could I also ask if I will be able to update my original games/ or backups to later versions, and everything will be fine?

Also I get a msg which is telling me to update my PS3 to latest FW, which I have not yet done so far, for obvious reasons. Could you please provide a step by step tutorial of how this can be bypassed. I am a newbie and apoligies if I am repeating previously asked questions, but I have had a look around.

Even I asked a similar question with regards to restoring the factory state of the PS3, and speaking of that, I heard that you can be able to switch to back to the firmware version your PS3 originally came with without problems, but however, as I am a newbie myself and I only acquired a PS3 a few days back (and hence I haven't tried it myself), I cannot guarantee that there will be no consequences from switching firmware versions

However, by saying that, downgrading the firmware version of your PS3 will OBVIOUSLY result in losing Blu-ray playback!

You can switch from 3.55CFW to 3.55OFW without any problem, bluray will still work. I tested it when i switched HDD for a bigger one, went from CFW to OFW, then changed HDD, then CFW and everything works without a problem!

Could anyone pls confirm that this works without glitches?

Also would it be possible to attach an External HDD to this?

From what I have read, I am also aware that the LV2 patch requires the original backup and requires 'signing' the games before running/backing up?

Would it be better to use multiman, or any other backup manager, or would these all remove my blueray playback, if so, I will stick to LV2? Can anyone provide a guide for this, i'm a total newbie, but eager to learn.
