So, i purchase my jail break about a week ago, and have been tinkering with it (a stupid thing to do if you don't know what your doing, i learned it the hard way).
I've managed to downgrade my firmware from 3.50 to 3.41, backup some of my games, and playing with the backup game. After a while i notice that my ps3 start to responding slower than usual, it also take more time to boot up, so i tinker more...
After formatting my internal hd, restore system file, rebuild database, redoing the downgrading process i finally arrive to.... my ps3 stop functioning....
Now, when i start my ps3 one of these 2 message would appear :
Cannot start the system.
Cannot find the proper harddisk.
or...
The system software cannot be run correctly. Press the PS button to try to reset the system.
If the system cannot be restored, you must reinstall the system software.
Connect storage media that contains update data of version 3.41 or later, and then press the START and SELECT buttons at the same time.
For information on how to obtain update data, refer to the SCE web site of your region.
The first message only appear now and then (it's been appearing since the middle of my "tinkering") and can i usually fix it just by restarting my ps3. But the second message is my problem, i already tried to restart and it just brought me back to the same message.
I've tried to reinstall the system using update data (PS3\UPDATE\PS3Updat.PUP) with both 3.41 and 3.50, but it only updating to 99% and then this message appear :
No application update data was found.
connect storage media that contain update data of version 3.41 or later, and then press the START and SELECT buttons at the same time.
so please, i really need some help here.
1. What actually happen to my ps3? where did i messed up? how can i fix it?
2. If it can't be fixed, can i just send it for service to sony? i mean, it still have warranty, and before the system crash, there is no jailbreak related program in my ps3.
Any help is really appreciated, thanks.

Using a different usb flash drive? you mean to install the system update? i haven't tried that, and i guess i could also tried using an external hd. I'll try that.

1: When downgrading, ALWAYS goto 3.15 and then 3.41. If you do that you can upgrade to 3.5* again.
2: Are you 100% sure that the hdd isnīt failing?
If it is, then just swap it out with a new one. Pretty sure Sony can see what firmware your version/batch should have and if they find it having 3.41 they can claim void warrenty, and it will be cheaper for you to just to exchange the hdd yourself....

I understand now that my HD is probably the problem for the first message, but for now, i can't even access my ps3 system let alone downgrading. So how do i fix my system?
And for my original system when i bought it, it was around 3.40 or 3.41, i update the system online then to 3.50 without knowing about jail break. So i don't think there is problem if they found a 3.41 sytem on my ps3 right?
