PLEASE HELP ME ON SKYPE I CANNOT GET MY MOTHER BOARD OF OF THE CASE AND IM SCARED OF CRACKING IT SO PLEASE IF HAVE TIME PLEASE HELP ME
I know exactly what you're talking about. You're talking about how it sticks to the metal shielding right? It's because of the thermal paste covering the 2 chips (RSX/CPU). It will come free as long as you apply steady, gentle pressure. DO NOT FORCE IT. Be patient and it will come loose
yes yes yes thats my problem im so scared man i would feel alot more comfortable if someone helped me step by step on skype hell im even willing to pay
I don't give out my contact info anymore. Some people have abused it. I know it's a little nerve racking but it really is very simple. Whatever you do don't use tools. You need to do this with your bare hands. Just find the corner that has the most give in it. You want to start gently separating there. Like I said, don't pull on it. Just apply gentle pressure and it will come free
I'll be around for a little while so just post here and I'll get right back to you
dude it is not coming up im scared please just send me your info in a pm i will not abuse your info im just a desperate guy tring to get back on cfw
I'm sorry, but I can't send you contact info. Double check that all screws are out. Do you remember the 2 metal bars attached to the metal plate? That's where the CPU and RSX chips are. That's where the thermal paste is. That's the only thing holding that plate on if all the screws are out. You actually have a lot of room to pry one side of the plate off. Just start at the corner with the most give in it and work your way around the opposite side of where the CPU/RSX chips are.
If you've already got one plate off and you mean you're trying to get the motherboard out of the second plate it hangs up on the hdmi and power outlets. The metal plate around the output ports will give enough to pull the motherboard out
a guy just told me that my ps3 must be hot to pull the motherboard out because if its cool the thermal paste is holding it together
I did mine when it was cool. It had been bricked for a couple weeks with no power to it whatsoever. If you have a hair dryer around you can use that on low. It should loosen it up
Get a screwdriver and push it into the hole the brackets went into. Push down while pulling up on the console.
This way the screwdriver is holding down the heatsink which will help with separation.
You won't damage anything unless you need extreme force to lift up the board. So push the screwdriver into different holes for each attempt. Generally the side with the RSX is the main cause of it sticking as its larger.
Well guys due to me thinking that installing this device would be easy I have broken the e3 flasher chip and now bought another so if anyone could please help me on muthafudgin skype i would really appreciate it i mean if your scared to show your face thats cool and all you dont have to i'll cam up and you can type me instructions. Before I broke the clip i had it pushed down and everything was installed fine but I dont think the flasher board was sitting very well and the only led light would come on is the red one and maybe 2 blue ones but only when i would push down on the sata usb thingy on the ps3 I dont know its weird and I wish I would have recorded the whole process. Also another thing that was annoying was the thingy where the hard drive sits would not allow me to put in the caddy that came with the e3 flasher limited because there is like a round metal piece in it stopping it from going all the way in
