Please check my ingredients for my JB so I dont get this wrong...

Hi, sorry for another n00b thread.. guess there are more and more these days!

I want to JB my Fat PS3 80GB. I am on FW 3.15 and although I have played online a couple of times with MW2 I have no want or need to play online in future.

I have
PS3 fat 80GB on 3.15
Downloaded 3.41 FW to update
External HDD 320GB formatted to fat32 as I use this currently to play movies via ps3 on tv

What I need
JB Device ... I want this one is this ok?
I need a payload? What is this!?

Is that all I need then or can you tell me if I am missing something vital?

yes that one is great.
what u need is a hex file compiled with a payload. In its simplest terms, its a file that u program into the minimus which jailbreaks your ps3.

YOu will also require a backup manager.
open manager
gaia manager
rogero manager

are all variants of the same core product. google and read reviews on the differences.
