Is there any way to play BDs? I seem to get "Playback of bds is prohibited on this system."
Thanks in advance.

Did you downgrade at any point?
sounds like u need the drl1 file replaced. you mustve downgraded at some point. try to remember last BD u played, or newest played. i cant remember which one but that should work. there was a huge thread devoted to this around the forum somewhere.
Confirmed--It means u or somebody have performed a downgrade from 3.50-->3.41(Or) 3.55 --->3.41, at some point of time before these cfw's were released.
Yes, if downgrade was done, FAT consoles have tendency to loose blu ray playback and will get a playback prohibited error.
i am not sure if there is a permanent solution to this
/ Ps2 Fat model->HDloader->120gbIDE->Network adapter pluggedI think this thread could help you out: Finally Remarry BD Drives To Other Consoles (Finally Remarry BD Drives To Other Consoles)
You can check the thread in my sig for download.

I had downgraded at some point from 3.50 to 3.40 to 3.41, but I had done all the DRL stuff and had gotten it back working. I have a backup of the DRL's I had used. Is there an easy way to use DRLgen or something on 3.55 or do I need to go down to 3.41 to use it and then go back to 3.55? Can I FTP or Comgenie the DRL's over?
Also, anyone know why the ps3bluray.info is down or is it permanently gone?
