Playing 4.31 on 4.21 rebug - little help

trying to get a game going on my 4.21. MM said it fixed it but still won't boot. any suggestions on how to fix it myself?

EDIT _ tried some of the resigning programs - no dice. eboot 4.20 option and said it updated but when i replaced it the game didn't work. updated the sfo too.

Got it to work! Used cfw reboot v 10 with elf option

Why are you still on 4.21? Why don't you upgrade to Rebug 4.30.1?

why? b/c 4.21 plays everything. why risk issues when everything works?

It clearly doesn't play everything, this is the point of this thread, isn't it? This thread was opened because you couldn't get a game going on your 4.21 and you had to patch it to work. Which means 4.21 doesn't play everything, some games need to be patched.

It's really easy to upgrade to Rebug 4.30.1, there's no risk of any issues. Believe me, it's really nice to just run your games without having to worry about eboot and update patches.

It's just an advice, your choice in the end...

I believe Rogero 4.30 has been patched for b/c

ok thanks. does that mean psn games don't need to be patched either? they ll just work?

No, PSN games need to be patched on any firmware. It's not actually an eboot patch (for some), it's actually a patch to activate them. So once patched, you can install game updates without any worries (as long as the updates are up to 4.31 currently).
