    hi guys
    I got a pic18f4550 board i was trying to update it to (pic18fusb_hermesv3.hex) from psgroove v1.3 and it is not responding my pc is picking it up tho but i cant flash it

    in device properties it says (Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43).
    Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

    Did you press the button to place in programming mode?

    Just sticking it in your PC with a hex already on it DOES NOT put it in programming mode
    vgcrepairs.com ! where dead consoles come back to life.

    sounds like your having driver issues, have you tried a differnt PC ?
    vgcrepairs.com ! where dead consoles come back to life.

    no im using (PDFSUSB) and it is not picking up the board at all

    OK i can solve ur problem it happened to me too so here u go:

    Go to ur DEVICE MANAGER and under UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLERS remove ur pic18f4550 board DRIVE and and insert pic18f4550 board again by pressing the BUTTON on BOARD now it will work.
