payload info needed

Ok, this is my first post EVER so i think it's okay to say i have googled a lot since i have come so far by myself.

Anyways, when the ps3 key thingy where all new and keys was priced to around 50 bucks, i bought 3 fake keys :S, tried to save like 20 bucks each.

Anyways, 1 was a PS3key keychain JBkey,
Other was USBBREAK fake
And last i had was (Really thought it where legit since the others dident work and wanted a legit) PS3key, that showed to be fake, but it worked


Anyways, i made it work and was gonna stick around a little learning the Managers and all that stuff.

Now i have been able to patch together a lot of updates for all kinds of keys and now using ps3 Jailbreak 2 updater and hermes V4 i was able to update my fake key.

I know that a payload is the way the key "hacks" the ps3, but what diffrence is there between payloads ?, i mean, it worked fine before, what could hermes possebly make better ??

Im kinda new to payloads, and have googled a lot, but there is no info on what a payload really does ? hermes, or other? can anyone explain or leave me a link ?

So, just to be sure i got it all right.

Multiman is the best Backup manager avaible ?

hermes and Pl3 is pretty mucht the same.

Syscalls are commands used by the backup manager and has to be "understandeble" by the payload/system ?

And all payloads uses LV2 that causes a lot of freezes except 3.41 with PL3 (regular) ?

If im wrong just say so, no need to waste time and explain, i just gotta read more into it
