P3 HUB 2 Dongle
I tried searching but didnt really find anything on this. Does anyone have one? I really like how I could plug my hard drive(s) in and not have to unplug them every time. What I dont like is that its from the same makers as PS3Break. I dont trust them because of the problems. Is this any good? Can it really be updated, or should I go for something else?
Well ,i know sth about it , hope can send you some help !
firstly , take a look at this pls ! Then you will have a rough idea !
P3HUb comes from PS3 team , P3hub1 and P3hub2 have the same function, just using different burner tool, burner file and operation steps.
Both of them are upgradeable , in my opinion, P3HUb is a best break product of all , but not so many people know it exactly until now ! PS3 break presents now, P3HUb presents the future , it's my thought !
But if you still feel confused , just choose the PS3 break V1.1 , it is upgradeable too , but make sure you buy it from the trustworthy dealer !
Anyone else have a P3hub? I bought a PS3 Break v1 PIC version :( and I'm sorry but thats why Im being so cautious about getting another product from them. I dont want another break. If I get anything it will be the Hub or a different jailbreak entirely and from a different company.
Anyone else confirm P3Hub WILL update... and will update without relying on them releasing files. I want to be able to update it on my own with the files I can find at places like this forum. Also which is better P3Hub1 or P3Hub2?
Thanks for your reply.
I bought a p3hub1 some time ago. Can confirm that it has an Atmel AT90USB162 chip.
They haven't updated the hex on their site to hermes v4b yet though - it's a v3+math+w right now. However, the generic hex files for that chipset work perfectly well.
On Windows 7, you need to installed signed drivers.
Get them from here: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f178/sig...drivers-65978/ (Signed Flip libusb Windows 7 x64 driver's)
I'm running win7 x64 and my P3hub1 works perfectly - updates well, no issues.
Will be happy to answer any questions you have.
I also got a P3hub1 and it does update.
The trouble with mine is that I have to do the power cord procedure every time I start the PS3 or nothing works. Is this a general thing or is mine malfunctioning?
Yup, that is standard behaviour. There's this product that might make the entire process less annoying: Power Switch for PS3 Slim

Darksoul, I also have a PS3 HUB1.Can you tell me where do you go to get the newest hex file for our device? The Chip is the same that is in the Teensy 1.0? Thank you for your help

Yes, the chip is an AT90USB162, but I haven't actually tried installing another "generic" hex file (like the Teensy one) on mine yet. I've heard they work too, but have not tried it myself. The hex files provided by the P3Hub manufacturer work perfectly well, so have not seen the need to experiment yet :-)
I have the same opinion!!!
