Not really a big poster, more of a lurker and reader; just have a couple of questions.

I'm waiting for my clone device to come (tomorrow). I opted for the cheap and cheerful USB Break from gamekool. Not really interested in Linux etc.

Now I'm assuming I just put the latest version of open manager package on the PS3, but I've read about something called Hermes v3 over the last couple of days in relation to playing games that require 3.42 firmware.

It looks like this Hermes can only be put on the dev boards from the brief research I did. So, does this mean that effectively the newer games can't be ripped - and so I'll have to buy a dev board anyway, or is likely that PS3Break will release something that will be compatible with these 'clones'?

I knew I should have waited another few weeks before ordering Basically just wondering what my options are for newer games that require updated firmware.
