You're never going to get to play online for any lengthy period of time when you decide to go homebrew. It has never happened, never will. Same people complained during the initial stages of the JTAG, bottom line: Do you want emulators, homebrew games, and more stuff...or do you want to play online? Your choice, but you have to choose one or the other.
