Old hard drive busted, need to format new drive with Rogero 4.30 v2.05 –

Hi,
My hard drive recently died and I need to install a new one into my soft-modded PS3 that has Rogero 4.30 v2.05 installed.
When I boot into recovery mode, none of the recovery options seem to do anything.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Edit:
A little more detail: When I try to use the "Restore PS3 System" option, my PS3 just restarts after a couple of seconds.
Do I need to downgrade to 3.55 OFW to do this? Is this even an option with my current CFW? Would it be possible for me to format my drive on a friend's PS3?
I literally took the hard drive out of the box and tested it on a sled plugged into my computer (drive was running, didn't hear any clicking, did not format to mbr or any other file structure,) then plugged it into my PS3.

I'm a bit confused, I thought the PUP installers were for kernal flashes; can you give me a simple step by step guide please?
Much appreciated.
Edit:
Nevermind I got it, thanks.
