Ok, seriously which is better: 4.21 or 4.3 cfw?

Ppl who've tested out both a great deal feel free to chime in. I've seen a couple posters say that 4.21 actually booted more games for them than 4.3 plus you have the 4.21 eboot resigner....just would like some input on the 2 firmwares.

The 4.21 eboot resigner works for 4.30 as well because it resigns above 3.60 which is all that's needed.
I prefer 4.30 because you dont need to care about game updates being over your firmware and because it gives proper PSN access.

Try them both and decide

Edit: Also remember 4.21 is finished now, no new updates, no new fixes because 4.30 is here.
4.30 is the one that will be developed for now.

i'm also a bit confused by all this.

new to the scene for starters. I had a faulty ps3 cechg03 with a non working blu ray drive, which i've now replaced and remarried, and have a fully working system on kmeaw 3.55. i'm still in the process of riping my 130 odd games to the hdd, but i;'ve been testing that each one boots before moving on, and finding patches for those that don't.


I'll only really be using this console to play my backups, so jsut for gaming, and maybe watching blu ray.....is there any advantage to upgrading to rogero 4.30 for me, or any disadvantages to update or to stay on 3.55?

if i do update, will my old patches games still work or will i have to re rip a lot of the games again?

Well if you must go form 3.55 then goto 4.21 i have that on one of my ps3s and it is much better than 4.30 i tryed them both 4.30 is full of bugs it really is a mismash.You would really be better off on 3.55 if you only have one PS3 and wait for rebugs CFW.
