I was wondering for a long time now how these "Updates" (LA Noir, Brink and many others) actually change the gamedata from 3.6x to 3.55.
Do they just change the needed keys for the whole Software??
Do they contain any keys at all?
Just wondering about the technical side (plese dont hit me if this q was answerd already)
is there any way we could use this method to get Purchased 3.6+ Games to run on a CFW 3.55 Console?

The update contains a new eboot that is signed for 3.55. This can be done for any game, if you have the ability to decrypt the original, and then resign it for 3.55. Which is not something we can do.

I say, legally, Sony should be forced to allow all games to require either their respective release firmware AND 3.15. If you aren't on 3.15 it wouldn't work. Not on the latest, it wouldn't work. But to the OP question, no.
