NTFS support?
Is it or will it ever be possible, so we can run homebrews, HD movies, backups from our externals that are over 4gb?
Discuss.

How has everything been hacked ?
Anyway, I would imagine the most likly option in time would be ext3 (2/4) support, ntfs is a bitch at the best of times, thats if it ever happens at all.

Why everybody cant stop asking this question? It will never happen. There will be NO ntfs support ever.
Only if sony make it themselfs in their future firmware updates.
No it is quite possible to do. People are still doing basic things with MFW / CFW. Things will come but will take time.

NTFS probably will not happen.
It's a Microsoft copyrighted file system. Integrating it into the PS3 could cause some major legal issues.
Dev's would be better off working on an open source file system, such as ext3 or UDF (which, btw, the PS3 can already read! It just needs to be able to do so through USB).

Agreed.
I bought a Blu-Ray player simply because it supports more file formats than my PS3 and... SOMEHOW... has NTFS support integrated into it.
They must've paid M$ a decent amount of cash to get that!
