First off I hope this gets pined...

1) Waninkoko V1 Bricked PS3 can NOT BE FIX (as of yet) .. GET OVER IT and stop asking....

2) You can NOT DOWNGRADE OFW 3.56 (at this moment) ..DO NOT UPGRADE

3) There is NO 3.56 CFW OUT STOP ASKING.

4) Games That start up with a BLACK SCREEN need there Permissions FIX. Gaia/Multiman NEWEST VERSIONS CAN DO THIS....

5) Blu-ray GAME DISC IN DRIVE for BETTER SUPPORT for loading backups Via mangers.

6) Games that have FILES LARGER THEN 4 GIG have to be split to fit onto a External FAT32 DRIVE (Unbootable) YOU CAN NOT PLAY GAMES THAT ARE SPLIT ON EXTERNALS. use Backup manager to copy them over to internal HDD

7) SERVICE MODE dose not work in 3.56 OFW you will Be in a Never ending loop and unable to restore back to original operation... Don't Try it..

8) Kmeaw's 3.55 CFW with the Newest Gaia/Multiman do not need the lv2.pkg installed for backup to work.

9) FTP to PS3 is extremely slow.... Try to stick with External HDD + Multiman when transferring files to and from the PS3

10) Use Qute PS3 Proxy, Or some other Proxy software to get your 3.55 PS3 online.. (Notice proxys do not allow online gaming)

12) Backup Games should be in ether USB root/GameZ/folderID, root/GAMES/folderID are the more commen folders. Or on the dev_hdd0/GameZ/FolderID* dev_hdd0/GAMES/FolderID

13) Maxume Updgrade size for a PS3 internal Sata II Hardware is 650 GIG... 1 GIG sata II can not physical fit into the the ps3 harddrive bay...

Last.. To install a CFW. Go fined a Pre-Build Kmeaw's 3.55 .pup (PS3UPDAT.pup) Put it onto a USB Thumb Drive (Fat32) in the following folder... x:/PS3/UPDATE/updat.pup. Plug Drive into ps3 go ot XBM System>Update Via USB.....

Or try that Recovery Mode (Hold Power Button down untill system beeps once-twice-menu) use update system via usb

multiMAN does not support disKless load, and I'm pretty sure I read the same about gaia ( I don't even see the game in app_home w/o a disk in)

old Gaia 2.x.x before 2.0.5 did but it was removed again do to issues.

Rogero Manager v8.0 Suppoorts discless but once agian I do not suggest it do to games still not loading for the most part.

Apparently discless on Multiman is working very well with Wanin v2.

I Have a 60GB CECHA01, never flashed/mod etc. 3.55 OFW
Will Kmeaw's 3.55 CFW still allow me to play BR/BR 3D movies usoig the actual disc?
The only info I could find was in regards to people who downgraded to 3.41

Theres also a fix permissions pkg that is needed some times, like my last ps3 would not run any games without it.
And theres also the SELECT+X in latests MM that can be used for games with black screens that are on externals only atm.

This is also right and wrong, you can in some games, split the big files and make them run from external.


i like it, just needs more stuff added to it and those 2 things i mentioned corrected

It's not that when its slow for you, it's slow for everybody
I ftp'd GT5 in 10 minutes from pc to ps3 and that's almost 20 Gig...

getting ~25 Mbyte/Sec with blackbox ftp. Multiman does the permission fix @first start of the game.
FTP Speed is the same as from the external HDD but you don't need to copy the game to the hdd first => ftp is faster

This is also true, i get about the same, mostly 20mbs
