i havent owned a ps3 very long i jb my ps3 but havent ran into issue regarding these thins but i would like to know what they are so can someone please explain to me what exactly is a game update is?what is it for,what does it do ,where do you get it from...etc...

and what is a patch ?is it the same thing as above? ,whats it do ?
