noob needs help

so im new to jailbreaking ps3 and i think i got mislead by youtube and all those videos. what is the "only" correct way to jailbreak a ps3 system on 4.25? would it be downgrade with a flasher to 3.55 then proceed to install cfw or do i need to use a dongle or can i just install a cfw overtop of ofw? (which is easiest and preferred method)thanks

As of now, the only way is to downgrade your console with a flasher. And then you can install CFW over OFW.

Don't know, I've never used one. But I suppose it depends on your console. Like I said, I don't really know.

Well mainly from what I know the 2 main flashers are Progskeet and E3 flasher. So look into those, but like Tthousand ive never had to use one.

Depends of the model of the Ps3. If you bought yours <2011 then it wouldn't be capable (But I am not sure) But I am sure 100% of phat PS3's work and the slims that came out soon after.

I would HIGHLY recommend you going to racer who does downgrading to save you the time/money/headache trying to figure this stuff out on your own.
