hey all
my names paul im 28 from the uk and i do not own a ps3 lol
however my friend has asked me to jailbreak his ps3, which i did last night with no real problems (apart from trying to boot it into recovery lol thats a bitch)
he was on ofw 2.7x? or something like that
so i upgraded him to 3.55 ofw
then used Kmeaw 3.55cfw installer
then i installed multiman 2.1 and some BDROM-Reset.pkg
and last i installed 3.66 spoofer
all this went well
i then aquired dirt 3, put in on my 80gb fat32 external hdd plugged it into ps3, booted multiman scanned attached devices and found the game
i then installed game to ps3 internal hdd, all cpoied with no errors
then i clicked on game within multiman this then took me back to stock xmb where dirt 3 now shows up with a disc icon (i believe this is correct?)
i then click on the game to start it and i get the error code 80010017
i asked my friend google about this code and he tells me i need to "deactivate and activate" my psn account!
well now the fun starts lol yes he did setup a psn account like 3yrs ago but then moved and had no internet for like 2yrs
now cfw is 3.55 kmeaw, and spoofer reads 3.66 but when i try to sign into his psn account (again which i think i have to do to deavtivate) i get the message "there is a new firmware update" "do you want to update" i click NO psn closes
so my question is what can i do to sort this out? or am i just beeing a tool and the spoofer does not do what i think as in spoof fw to newer to play newer games? i thought if you have cfw 3.55 installed then spoofed to 3.66 and dirt 3 requires fw 3.6 its should all work, yes?
