Newbie help

Hi,

I'm new to the PS3 JB scene, and am still on OFW 3.01. Can I just upgrade to 3.55 from Sony which I found on this site in the Downloads section and then upgrade as per the usual ways? I've found a lot of guides for upgrading from 3.55, but none from any other FW so just thought I'd double check. Then, can I just install MultiMan on OFW 3.55 or should I upgrade to Rogero 3.55 instead? If so, can you give me some advice on how to do this? I'm competent with jailbreaking other devices; just not PS3.

yes you can download the Official 3.55 firmware found on this site
then download the 3.55 KMEAW CFW and update to KMEAW.

once on KMEAW you can install the latest multiman and start patching games to play on 3.55
or if you can decide to update to the newer CFW's like rogero/ermac/rebug
