grab 3.55 KMEAW or 3.55 Rebug for your PS3, multiMAN to play your backups, bdemu2 so the backups will work and format your external drive as FAT32. EaseUS makes a good free tool to do that for you. Everything but EaseUS can be found in the downloads section up top or in the stickied topics in the forums. EaseUS is found here Free Data Recovery Software, Backup Software, Partition Manager and Mac Cleaner Freeware in Windows/Linux/Mac - EaseUS Official Site
Will this work if i want to download games aswell?
LOL I can tell you that BahumatLord will not be answering that question for you.
Its up the the end user where he get his games from. Since most likely you want to get CFW on your ps3 for that "purpose" yes you can.
Since you're new I'll go ahead and answer that. Yes you can play downloaded games but you should know that we don't discuss pirated games here. You'll be able to play any game that uses 3.56 firmware or lower. If you want to play games that use 3.60 or higher then you'll need to pick up a true blue dongle
Edit: @Goku1992 - I started not to answer it, but he admitted that he was new so I cut him some slack
lol I was kinda surprised that you did but meh atleast he know :)
Thanks for all the help guys! However i have a problem. I have tried to install 3.55 rebug in safe mode and got "the data is corrupt 8002F2B5" any ideas? I can't find a link on this site for 3.55 KMEAW.
Thanks
Can anyone tell me what is the latest version of Multiman? Also what is the largest HDD i can connect?
Thanks
You can always find the latest version here http://psx-scene.com/forums/f192/mul...hd-bdmv-72826/
Just grab the base or the full pkg, then if your ps3 is connected to the internet you'll get prompted to update whenever a new version is put out
I've got a 1 Terabyte internal drive and a 1 Terabyte external drive that work fine. You should be able to use any drive up to 2 Terabytes without a problem. Some people have had success with drives larger than 2 Terabytes, but it looks like it depends on the manufacturer/model
