New playstation firmware ?

Hello

I jailbroke my brother's PS3 but I am going to move out soon and my brother wants to keep his PS3 :-).

So I am thinking about getting an other one, but by now I guess those on stores are probably above 3.55 aren't they ?

I have searched before posting this thread, didn't find anything relevant :<.

you may get lucky and find one that is below 3.55 if they havent sold out of them already but im guessing all of the new shipments of ps3 will be above 3.55.

What about older bundles? Like bundles with God of War, Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed 2, etc... Is there any more chance of getting an older firmware there ?

I had to send my CFW 3.55 ps3 slim back to Sony last month due to hadware failure & they replaced it with a new one. To my suprise it was on FW 3.50.

Your best chances are too look online. Here would be a good place as well. People sell things in the correct forum all the time. So start looking at scene sites that have the buy/sell/trade section in the forum. You can also check ebay.

older bundles yes will have older firmware

Just got the PS3, it came with FW 3.56.

It is the 160GB without games.
It is a white box with the "3D" logo on it.

So finally I went to my local store and took one 320GB Little Big Planet 2 bundle, and that one came with 3.55

Bundled boxes are definitely the best bet, since we can be pretty sure of when it was boxed and hence what firmware.
