New to Jailbreak with older PS3
New to Jailbreak with older PS3 –

I know this has probably been asked a dozen times, and I know not all PS3 systems are equal, so that's why I wanted to ask.
I have an older PS3 FAT model with an 80GB Hard Drive. It's one of the first models and I know it came with older firmware, but it has been updated over the years. I'm now stuck with firmware 3.66 and wanted to know if their is any chance of downgrading, or using a USB stick to play my backups? Some of my PS3 games have scratches and I'm not about to purchase them again. I just want to run a backup of what I already own.
I see a lot of talk about E3 and different hacks to downgrade but I'm not sure what to look for, or should I even bother at this time? Also, should avoid anymore updates?
Thanks

Yes you can downgrade. I suggest you get a Progskeet chip to downgrade your console though. The E3 chip is garbage in my opinion.

Are there any good guides for this, plus where can I purchase a Progskeet chip?
Thanks
