Hello, Im new to these forums. Im not new to hacking becuase i hacked my wii,ps2,psp,360 etc

However i am ready to hack my ps3 but i have a couple of questions if its alright and these questions are kinda none search able however some one may i have asked them already, if so im sorry.

1.If i hacked my ps3, and installed the necessary software to play games and run homebrew, and say hey i want to update to go online. What steps would i take to make my system virgin again. Do i just delete the software i put on it and thats that? (ps dont ask me to buy another system i will in the long run but not now)

2.It is true we can now download psn games, which leads me to my second question. If i download a psn game and install it on my ps3. If i updated would i still be able to download this games still? (this would have to be a confirmation deal sence no idiot would want to test it just wanted to know if some one has done it)

3.The only device i have would be a ipod nano, can i use that to hack the ps3?

    Thanks in advance guys

you dont get it jailbreak only works on 3.41 and to be able to go online you have to update your ps3 firmware to 3.50 which will terminate jailbreak .so no way to go online using jailbreak so far.

since you are not able to go online so then no

you didn't really answer my question. But i did forget to say i was on 3.41 so im already good to go. Im not stupid i kinow updating will make all software not work, however i wanted to know the proper takes i have to do to ensure i get my ps3 back the way it was.

second. You didn't really read what i put down. I said you are ABLE to download psn games from ps3 iso sites and install them on your ps3. i didn't know if you had to be in debug mode to access those psn games. And i wanted to know if my ps3 goes to 3.5 will these psn games still work?

    Third will look around, thanks

Hmm, not sure what you mean there buddy, whos being rude just clearly stating that she or he was not helpfull nothing more.

No need to troll or anything, thanks. And while others do look over what i said im also looking around to see if you can hack the ps3 with a 5th gen nano, and im pretty sure you cant becuase the only options i get when using rock box is 1st gen and second gen, and nothing about 5th. so i guess i just answerd my own question for #3, however it will be helpfull to answer 1. 2. Thanks

Pikafunk: He is not at all impolite, he simply states that his question was not answered. Really, it only takes one read to see that question 1 is about removing jailbreak, not about keeping it.

No reason to be rude to a person by accusing him of being rude when he isn't, just to suck up to a co-admin. I am fairly sure that amp2006 is fully aware that he is not a fail proof machine that never mis-reads or misunderstands, and I'd bet he is able to tell someone off for being rude himself if he thinks someone are.

Sadly I don't know the answer to 1, Spawn844. Re-virginizing even the Wii is pretty difficult, and that is thoroughly compromised. But as the PS3 OS is installed to the hard drive, I'd bet that a full format of the internal hard drive and then a reinstallation of the OS/firmware would be sufficient to not be detected. I'd think they would be busy enough banning active pirates if they start to do such things.

I don't think there has been any technical discussion on the issue, however, and there surely could be stored logs of God knows what in the NAND.

As for question 2 amp2006 answered it. You can't log in to PSN or download games.
