New to the Forum/General PS3 Jailbreaking Questions

Hey all, I am new to these boards but not to Forums, I Mod/Smod several Forum Foundry sites within the Android community and hack Android on a daily basis - I am however new to the PS3 Hacking World - I was referred to this board by one of my fellow Droid Forums Members Tallica who is also on board here

...now on to my discussion - PS3 Slim Firmware V3.56- I am interested in Jailbreaking it but my understanding is that it's not possible yet, if someone could help me understand a little more what this entails, if there is any "going back" to F/W 3.55 to be able to J/B and possibly any other information a Noob like myself might find helpful it would be highly appreciated

Welcome Bro!

Like we've discussed AFAIK you're stuck on 3.56 till one of these fine hackers figure out how to J/B or downgrade 3.56 without getting stuck in Service mode.

Hopefully someone else has more info then me.

Guess before I do anymore future F/W Updates I should get my priorities straight first...


I have done a little research since my O/P and it seems there is no easy downgrade "yet" and maybe some CWF for 3.56 is in the works...looks like I get to hang tight and learn what I can in the meantime -

Well yeah, but not the cheapest workaround I've ever heard. Lol.
