New ecliPS3 Firmware Manager V1.2d released
This release will enable the use of the import engine with the latest Kakaroto Firmware fork. Eclipse can now use practically any hex file for any board and firmware version

Release notes follows:
- Updated import engine and firmware. The import engine has now the ability to import a wider range of hex files; basically any PSGroove or PSFreedom based hex file for any board type can now be imported (both AVR and PIC based boards are supported). Official Eclipse firmware still only supports FW 3.41 but with the right hex files you can now test the Eclipse hardware with older PS3 firmware versions (e.g. 3.01, 3.10, 3.15, etc).

But when i use the latest PL3 hex or Hermes v4B i get randome corruptions when i'm installing .pkg files and games don't run.....the PS3 just freezes.

Everything goes back to normal if i downgrade to a earlier hex, say for e.g. herves v3.

Anybody else getting this? Or can someone point me towards the right hex file for this dongle, preferabbly hermes v4b.

I have used Hermes V3, V4 and PL3 without any problems.
I have fat PS3.

I think the latest updater is broken.....
It worked fine when i used the older updater (v1.2).

hi!
i got the eclips3 , installed the backup manager, but im a noob so i dont know what to do next in order to run a game which i got on my external hdd
any help?
