Network problem –
06-01-2011,11:46 AM
Sooo i made a mistake and resetted the options in network connectivity.I tried to set it up again but on the test it always resulted failed. And the biggest shit about this is ,that now my ftp manager doesn't work.It shows DISCONNECTED/No network connection .I tried with custom ip addres settings from [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DlG1SmlwsU&feature=channel_video_title]here[/ame] (i think i did it before like that and worked fine) but still the same.

do you have something hosting DHCP on your network? That would be the easiest method for getting an IP. (try letting it pull an IP automatically and see what happens)

For DHCP im not really sure since i lost my password for the router settings(so dumb).I tried automatic IP but the same result.

So you know your wireless SSID and passkey? Or do you leave your network unecrypted? (bad idea)
You could always do a factory reset on your router.

He's talking about the SSID and WEP/WPA key on your router/gateway/modem. Both of those are required to get your PS3 connected via wireless. Even if you reset the password on your router it won't do anything since the password on your router is completely different from the SSID and WEP/WPA key on your router. Those details should be on a sticker somewhere on your router if it's a traditional router/gateway/modem from your ISP.
It will have something like this :
SSID (53eB) just an example.
WEP XXXXXXX
WPA. XXXXXXXX
Just an example I might have the wrong keylengths but you get the point.
When you access your router @ 192.168.1.1(example for mine.) that is where you enter another user ID and password to get access into your router settings. That user ID and password is completely different from the SSID/WEP/WPA.

Okey Dude, what is the name of your Router,I think you can enter its options with root access.Just Type The Name
