I use Netflix on my PS3, and was wondering if that pushes the update to 3.42. I've turned off internet for the time being, but didn't know if it requires the update to use the disc (ie using PSN).
If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the help.

I can confirm it does not push the update to 3.42. I, reluctantly, plugged my PS3 back into the network yesterday so I could watch some Netflix. It will notify you that a system update is required, but you can still put your Netflix disc in, scroll over, and watch instant.Quote:
