Neew alil bit of help xD
So I got my JB yday and was tryin all day to do the damn thing. I've got the X3Max JB, programmed it using the v2 program then loaded the .hex files for Hermes v4b w/ psn. I've JB'd the console and installed the FTP 1.2 server & Open Manager 1.2 in the Package Files option. I logged into FlashFXP and FTPed games over to my internal root: //dev_hdd0/GAMEZ/ and also tried //dev_hdd0/game/GAMEZ and still can't get it to work for some reason :/ Just says BOOT.BIN not found, anyone know what I could be doing wrong? :(
just look for a folder named OMAN46756 and stick ya GAMEZ folder in here and u should be good to go. hope this helps, all thats wrong is the games manager cant find the correct path to your games folder.
He is correct.. the path your using"GAMEZ" folder is used by gaia manager.. and even multiman.. so try booting with gaia manager instead then there would be no need to move the games that you have stored on your hdd.

I've tried to use those paths yes, tried with Open Manager v1.17.1 and v2.1i and also tried Gaia Manager and still have the same problem with all the games I've tried.
I'm going to try and backup an original I have and see if that boots fine.
you need to instal both pkg's (including "BDrips") while installing the gai manager

/devhdd0/game/OMAN46756/GAMEZ/ or it could even be
/devhdd0/game/OMAN01234/GAMEZ/ , just install open manager and run it , it will ask u if u want to use a certain path to install games , just say yes and then FTP to your console and goto devhdd0/game/ and refresh the directory and u should now see that illusive OMAN folder your looking for , once u found it just stick your games in here
NOTE:: Multiman can infact search any folder for games so if your games are in //dev_hdd0/GAMEZ/ then Multiman can search for this path , just add the paths name into default_options.ini
I've done that also, the games appear in the manager I launch it and it goes to the XMB. I've tried the disk launch and the diskless launch and all I get is "An error occurred during the start operation (80010009)"
what manager are u using exactly ? , keep swapping managers is not good for u , best thing to do is stick to 1 manager as things can get confusing when it comes to folder paths for someone thats new to it all , say u had the game tron evolution the path name could be..
or if u want the cover u would need it to be /devhdd0/game/OMAN46756/GAMEZ/BLES00761
no idea about gaia manager as i just stick with open manager 2.1i , ive used a few managers out there and OM seems to be the best (my opinion) , Multiman was nice though.
i bet your itching to play games lol
BTW :: FTP'ing games to console is way to long , try and use any usb thats big enough to transfer your games, dont worry your manager will pick up and list any usb thats plugged in , then its just a case of copying from usb to hdd. on average usb to console takes 8 mins a game
BTW2 :: allways leave a disk in your drive , press X in manager an it takes u back to XMB , then just launch the game like u would if u had a real game in your consoles drive.
Yea I noticed FTPing can take awhile, I guess my WD Elements 1.5TB via USB should be fine to use to transfer? I was using Open Manager v2.1i also, but kept getting the error code when booting via disk. Someone said it could be the Hermes v4b Payload and to try the PL3 instead so going to try that, tyvm for all the infos will keep trying and see how it goes.
I'm not itchin that much, would just love to stop pullin my hair out over it lmao. I already have an xbox but if i do this just saves me PS3 from layin there doing nothing haha
