need some advice on psjailbreak

Hello guys,

Im kinda new to the scene so hopefully somebody could guide me in the right direction. Here goes, im using psjailbreak and im currently on version 3.41.. im wanting to play a game but its requiring me to update my version to 3.50... and from browsing the forums im overwhelmed to get an answer to if... there's a way to bypass the update so that I can stay on 3.41 and keep all my backed up games?id assume that ill lose all my backups right? If I update my firmware? Or no? Is there any solution for me? I read on something called spoofing but does that applys to a ps jailbreak user like myself? Currently my ps jailbreak dongle is not updated... because my computer wont update it for some reason....if that helps .. please help me out... or should I dump my ps jailbreak all together? The one thing I would like to keep is my backed up games.. is there a way?

with modified EBOOT you should be fine .

for all your question you should go for CFW 3.55 Kmaew .and you should be fine .

for all your question you should go for CFW 3.55 Kmaew .and you should be fine .

1 - Ditch the donlge is it useless.
2 - Install 3.55 OFW
3 - Go into recovery menu and install Kmeaw CFW 3.55


This way there is no need for a dongle or hacked ebbots that are a pain in the butt and best of all no need to toggle power and you will not lose ANYTHING doing this game data wise, you will lose a crappy lived past it's life dongle. CFW is where it is at now as with it and Multiman there is now a 99.5% successful boot rate and it is as easy a can be. Best of all with this you can get back on PSN. Or if you like 3.41 for some strange reason at least install hermes 3.41 cfw so you can ditch the dongle.

yea man i first had the usbbreak dongle v1.1 and for some reason it wouldn t update either. i believe it was there usbloader program that was f d up. then i bought the ps3break v1.2 dongle and that was perfect. it updated it updated with ease. all dongle brands are just copies of eachother basically no difference. the version hex file you have on it is the thing. Honestly you should just keep it for downgrade or fixing problems through the factory/ service mode. so def don t throw that away.

now like everyone said upgrade to ofw 3.55 then to cfw 3.55 kmeaw. that is the best in my opinion. you won t need the dongle everytime. no power off then back on crap, no power eject crap. no ejecting ur disk first. just ps button on controller like normal.

to get 3.50 games to work on 3.41 you need to get the modified eboot.bin for it. most game threads will provide that on the page. but you should def just upgrade to kmeaw. you can get back psn. and you ll lose not one game. just have to put the original eboot back if you have previously put a moddified eboot in it to get it to work on 3.41.
