Need a little help with PSN content not installing & losing saves –

Hey guys,
I'm having some issues trying to get my LPB DLC working right.
The DLC was originally downloaded on an older machine (fat 80gb), I recently picked up a slim, and had it on 3.41
I went to options on the 80gb and did a backup, then restored it to the slim.
I then upgraded the HDD from a 160gb to a 1tb hdd and did another backup/restore from 160gb to 1tb hdd.
From their I was able to upgrade to 3.55 and use the DNS trick to get online to try to redownload the LBP addon content I had from my old machine.
I went to my download history and tried to download anything I have downloaded before and would get an error, 80710A06 An error occurred during the install operation.
After some reading, I made a backup of my saves via FTP to my pc, formatted the ps3 drive and let it reinstall everything. once done I was able to get into the psn store and was able to redownload all my old content/addons. I then FTP'ed my saves over rebooted the ps3 but they did not appear.
I then looked at the SFO files and checked the account id of my xregistry file and both matched but no luck.
Does anyone have any other ideas I can try before the DNS trick doesnt work anymore?
Thanks,

They must show up, even if they are corrupted/not your id or whatever.
My guess is that you copied them to the wrong folder.
Check your profile folder name i.e. 0000001, 0000002, ...

before and after was folder 0000002 which i verified by opening the username file in text editor
unless somehow it was mixed up some way, ill have to try to copy the data across the profile folders

Oh, I have an idea. Go to recovery menu and rebuild database. It will find those saves and save their locations in the database.
Totally forgot about that.
You know, PS3 just doesn't scan for files and folders on HDD, you have to force this.

what finally worked was format then ftp the saves over to the Ps3 then rebuild database
after that I was able to download my content history and all my saves showed up
