im trying to get that brut program to runn and every time i try to start it up it is saying its missing EBOOT. BIN(fw3.60-)
that file is contained in the game update that you should have installed by now. You can either use multiMAN's file manager to copy it off of your PS3 to your usb drive or use an FTP program like filezilla to pull the file. Look back a couple posts and I told you where to find it. It's in dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30784/USRDIR. dev_hdd0 = your internal ps3 hard drive. Put that file in the programs directory. You only need to run the bruteforce.exe if the game update contained sprx and/or self files. You would need to copy those files to the programs directory too. Since this game doesn't use those and only uses the eboot you just need to run eboot_fix.bat. When it's done, copy your eboot back to dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30784/USRDIR and load your game
ok sorry for a nother noob question .. never done this before .. but i did install the file on my ps3.. now im in mm right now in the game file but when i click on it there is no options to copy the eboot file.. now how would i copy it to my external hard drive?
As long as you're not using a very old copy of multMAN hold select + press start. That will put you in the file manager. In the top left you should see PS3 Root. Open that up and you should see dev_hdd0. Just keep clicking following the directory path I've already posted until you get to your eboot.bin. hover over it and press your circle button. Select Copy. Go back to PS3 Root. This time select dev_usb00 or dev_usb01 (wherever you have your usb drive plugged in) hover over something and press circle button. You should see paste. Select that and when it's done you can plug your usb drive into your computer and then copy the eboot.bin into the program directory. Run eboot_fix.bat. After it closes out, copy the eboot.bin back to your usb drive, plug it into your PS3 and then copy it back into your internal hard drive to the location I've listed
Don't worry man - we all started somewhere. It does get easier the more you do this kind of thing
well i did everything u posted up to the part when u told me to press circle button over the eboot.. when the little box pops up there is no option to copy... oh and my mm is 4.02
Try selecting the file with your x button first. Also make sure that the open window is in the front. Press your x button on the top bar of the window just in case
nope pressing x frist will cause the system to load teh game...
you're double pressing x. You just need to press it once to select the file. Keep trying - you've got some catching up to do. I'm going to go ahead and patch a pkg file for you. You'll be able to install the pkg the same way you installed the update. Don't delete the old update because it's 200 megs and I'm only going to patch the eboot. It won't work if you delete the old data. It will take a few minutes. That will give you some time to practice using the file manager
ok i figured it out.. there are two boxes on the screen were each on i can select a hard drive to look at.. so i the left side box i had to pull up my ps3 hard drive.. then on the right hand box i had to select my external hard drive.. then when i pressed o on the left side box(ps3 internal hard drive) over the eboot then it gave me the option to copy and it sent it to the right hand box automaticly
oh, ok. It sounds like you have the old file manager. I think the new one came in at 4.03. We're on 4.04 right now. It's not a major update, but whenever you have time don't forget to update your multiMAN. You've pretty much got it done now.
