need help with White Knight Chronicles II cant get it to work

im trying to get my copy of white knights chronicles 2 to work on my ps3 sense the keys for 3.60 came out and want to be able to play my copy of the game.. so i backed it up on my external hard drive .. my region number for my game is BLUS30784... the only eboot i can find is BCES01085 and i tried to use it and when i load the game i only get a black screen ... rogero and mm..is there something speical i need to do to get my game to work? or does anybody know if there is a eboot for my region?

There's a lot of bad patches floating around because a lot of people didn't patch the SPRX + SELF files correctly and didn't bother to test before uploading. You need to get the klicense from the eboot for them to decrypt and reencrypt. Plus some games need the decrypted eboot to be hex edited before resigning. This tool will do all that for you. You would need to install the update that you're trying to patch, then copy the eboot and any sprx/self files into this program directory. If it's just an eboot you would run eboot_fix.bat. If you have sprx/self files too you would run bruteforce.exe instead. That will bruteforce the klicense so everything gets decrypted and resigned correctly. It has some klicenses already stored, but if it doesn't it will take some time to find it. It could take a couple minutes or an hour or two. Just let it run

ok i am very new to jailbreaking sceen.. now with that program . do i run it off my pc or my ps3? also if im reading this right i might not be as what u said about installing the update ,im not trying to update the game i just run to runn it the way it came off my disk

It runs on your PC. You will need to download and install this game update on your PS3. There were some bugs in the disc version that are very annoying. If you have a 4.20 system spoofer installed you won't need to edit the PARAM.SFO. If you don't have one you'll have to edit the PARAM.SFO for your disc backup and the one for the installed update

After installing ftp/copy dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30784/USRDIR/EBOOT.BIN into the program directory I linked you to. Then run eboot_fix.bat. When it's done ftp/copy the newly resigned eboot back int dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30784/USRDIR. I just did it with my copy last night and it works great

i downloaded that program but it only came out to be 206kb... and i cant even open it.. how do i open it... that file size seems kinda small to be a program?

You mean you can't open the 7z file? It's a compressed file like Zip and RAR files. You need 7-zip to open it. Google it - it's a free program. I know the size is small but it's right and works great. tthousand was kind enough to put some info up on the front page about this great app

ok i never have installed a update before .. do i just take that file and throw in the game folder on my external hard drive? or do i have to use my ps3 to install that update?

download the pkg file game update and save it at the root of your USB hard/thumb drive. Plug the drive into your ps3, then go to install pkg files above your disc icon. You should see the file - just select it. After it installs you would follow the rest of the instructions about patching the eboot
