Hi there, right now I'm trying to establish a connection between filezilla and blackbox. I have my PS3 hooked up to my PC using an ethernet cable. When I load up Blackbox FTP, it doesn't display any IP address. It's just blank. I also checked my network settings and the IP address field there is also blank.
Can someone please help? Why am I not getting an IP address?
EDIT: OK, now I'm getting a new error: Connection attempt failed with "ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted".
If you are hooking it directly to the pc you need a crossover cable not an ethernet cable. Now if you have a hub or router using an ethernet cable will be just fine but I think this is your problem as all you should have to do is simply input the ip address listed by blackb0x.
Im using a simple ethernet cable hooked up to my pc and i have not problem at all but i use Bridge connection though...Quote:

Ethernet cables are only capable of a 10mbps connection without the aid of a router and bridged connections will do nothing to fix that. Until you use a router or hub a normal ethernet cable with not work as it will not initialize into 100mbps mode (a LAN connection) and therefore it will not work. This is true for every console not just the PS3. Try it on the Wii, PS2, Xbox,Xbo360 none will allow you to FTP without a crossover cable or router/hub. Just the rules and restrictions of FTP not the PS3.
