Need Help. Please!
Hi, I have less knowledge about PS3. I just brought a PS3 slim from a store with Rogero cfw. Model: CECH-2106B.
I checked system information in the XMB, it said Version 4.31.
But in the MultiMan it said Firmware 4.30 [BD-ROM EMULATOR] and MultiMan 04.20.00
I don't know what exactly my PS3 cfw version is and it's CEX or DEX?
Can I update to Rogero 4.40 v1.03 and how?
Well, I can tell you that you are on CEX.
CEX = retail firmware
DEX = debug/developer firmware
It is a 4.30 based Rogero firmware with a 4.31 spoof. All Rogero firmware are CEX.
You can update to 4.40 v1.03 from either XMB or Recovery Menu with a fat32 flash drive, make sure your disc drive is empty while doing updates.
The newest OFW out at the moment is 4.41 so you will still need a spoof for Rogero if you want to go online.
You might want to check out Rebug 4.41.2, which you can install also and doesn't need a spoof since its 4.41 based.
I agree, no matter what you have, just install Rebug 4.41.2 from XMB on top of your CFW by following the guide below:

2- Install Rebug 4.41.2 from XMB:
Download Rebug 4.41.2 from Rebug's website, verify the md5 hash, rename the PUP to PS3UPDAT.PUP, put it on your FAT32 formatted flash drive in PS3\UPDATE, go to System Update and Update via Storage Media. Make sure there's NO original game disk in the drive and that you DON'T Update via Internet or else you would risk installing OFW higher than 3.55!
3- Enable QA:
Go to Package Manager > Install Package Files > PS3 Hard Disk and install Rebug Toolbox. Launch it under Games, go to Utilities and change Toggle QA Flag to Enabled. This is to ensure easier and safer downgrading.
