Need help with a Jailbreak.

Alright, so I'm not too particularly tech savvy, however I'm not stupid.
There seems to be alot of confusion as to what to download for a Jailbreak.
My phone can't do it because it's a lame phone, needless to say a friend of mine at work said you could use an Ipod, that I do have it's a second Generation Nano. I also have plenty of Jumpdrives and an external Hardrive as well as a TI-84 Calculater. All of which I have heard work. Now my Dilemma is I have not been able to find the data, nor have I been able to find a tutorial. So if someone could help I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks! =)

Sorry it took me so long to respond, thanks for the link, I'm not particularly familiar with forums so it was hard to find what I specifically needed, also turns out that my Ipod's a 2G and hard coded so I can't use it to Jailbreak my PS3, however I'm going to work on the TI-84 tonight/tomorrow night, depends on how the day plays out. Yet again, thanks a bunch I'm excited to get this working. Though I do have another question, if a PS3 is Jailbreaked does it lose PSN privileges? Or should I just disconnect my device and reboot to use PSN? Thanks again! =)

You need 3.50 firmware to login to PSN.
You need 3.41 firmware to jailbreak your PS3.
So you cant login to PSN if you want to be able to jailbreak your PS3 at the same time.

The firmware currently on my PS3 is 3.30, will that cause any problems?

You'll want to upgrade to 3.41 for the most compatibility. You can find instructions here: PS3

You'll want to download the 2nd release of 3.41 (has HD fixes in it) and use that for the install.

Do not update past 3.41 otherwise the jailbreak will not work

BTW...im not sure which 3.41 firmware I installed, is there a way to reinstall 3.41 version 2?

Just follow the instructions in the first link I posted, with 3.41v2 on your thumbdrive. If you already have it, it'll say it's already installed, if not, it will install the firmware off of your thumbdrive.
