Need help/advice with NOR dump

I've installed my E3 flasher and got a good dump or so I thought, after dumping I checked all 3 dumps with e3 nor checker and all were fine but I'm trying to convert to a dex so I used CEX2DEX to try and extract the metldr but it says "Error : Could NOT Find METLDR, Invalid Flash Dump!". I'm guessing they are bad because I've read that e3 nor checker can give false positives. Is it possible that CEX2DEX is wrong?
Edit: Also is it possible that it could be because of the firmware I'm using?
P.S. The dump size is correct

try this http://gitbrew.org/~glevand/ps3/pkgs/dump_flash.pkg or this Dev Tools - PS3 Development Wiki . I used the second one and had no trouble. Finally got my Linux issues sorted out and I'm on Dex right now

Sweet thanks, when you say the second one(I'm waiting for dump_flash.pkg to finish ATM) do you mean dump_flash_ptab.pkg or just the dump_flash.pkg

I meant the one from the second link. It's a compilation of several apps, including the one in the first link. It looks like you got it sorted out. good luck

I hear you on that one. Just take your time with it. Once you get past the linux nonsense you can do the rest in 10-20 minutes
