need help about 3.56 fw

hi there ....i just got ps3 slim 160g hard drive with 3.56 fw in it ...so my question is can i install jfw 3.56 with out any tool and run multiman in it ?.....or i must downgrade first to 3.55 then do install jfw 3.56 and multiman ?

please answer ...and thanks in advance for any help

Don't waste your time with 3.56 jfw......

Either get a flasher or have someone who does and downgrade to 3.55.

thanks for reply ....you mean i can not install jfw-3.56. directly ..on ps3 running 3.56 ofw ....with out any flasher ?......and why does this jfw 3.56 say it can downgrade yo 3.55 without any flasher ?..thanks again

Ok, I will try to explain how this works in an easy way. When 3.55 came people started to jailbreak the ps3. Sony made a patch called 3.56 where they disabled the possibility to downgrade. So 3.56 was a milestone for all ps3s. Everyone with a ps3 that has 3.56 and on cannot downgrade back to 3.55 with just a usb memory and 3.55ofw. There are methods to downgrade to 3.55 but then you have to use E3 flasher and open up the ps3 and do stuff on the hardware.

Once you are on 3.55 and start to use custom firmware, you can jump between alot of different firmware versions, 3.56jfw and so on. So it all comes back to that you have to have 3.55ofw or less from the start

because you cannot install 3.56 JFW on a PS3 running 3.56+ FW without a flasher same as 3.55

not exactly jailbreak started on 3.41

thank you all.....for the advice ...i will try to find good eflasher ...or a ps3 with 3.55 ,,,since i can not do nothing with this 3.56 ....thanks again
