Need clarification about E3 flasher & Progskeet before buying a PS3

Hi,
So the PS3 i will buy is a CECH-2004B.
Will this work with E3, because i can't find if it's NAND or NOR, also is it solderless for my model?

Also is the E3 completely solderless, even for dual-booting?
Are there any tutorials/vids available that show how to install it in your PS3? Because i find not a lot of information, even the website seems not up to date about the solderless thing...

Yes, 3.55 will work on CECH-20xx, the minimum firmware for those models is 2.70.
It is NOR, the only NAND models are the phat BC ones, and the phat 40GB CECHGxx model.
E3 flasher will be solderless for all models AFAIK. Yes, even for dual booting.
I don't think it was released yet, but installation should be rather easy (probably included in user manual too), so you'll have to wait a little for a tutorial.

Any somebody explain what is meant by the 'dual boot' capability of the E3 Flasher? Does this mean we'll be able to swap between 3.72 and 3.55 on a whim?

If swapping hard drives and doing the 3-5 minute process of flashing your system qualifies as 'snappy', then yes.

actually I think it's just swapping HDDs as one FW will be stored on the PS3 while the other is stored on the E3 and you just switch between the 2 with no flashing

Meanwhile, can i update to 3.72 to play on PSN? I think they did downgrade from 3.72 too, but maybe it's model specific then?

The E3 flasher will have a NOR chip integrated for dual boot. All you have to do is swap HDD and press a switch to switch to the second NOR.
The NAND version will work the same, except you don't need to swap HDD (i'd recommend doing so though).
