Here goes...I originally got an E3 card reader to jailbreak my own PS3. I got it to work without any problems. I bought it from Acekard, which charged me around $30.

I'd like to start a little jailbreaking "business" on the side and was wondering if the cheaper devices are any good for jailbreaking. Any thoughts?

BTW, I see Acekard currently has the E3 card reader for less than $20, so I'll be ordering from them soon.

Soon that business will be dead... as free solutions with no dongles will be coming...
But in the mean time E3 ain't bad but other small dev boards are cheaper i think like the one at 5$ Teensy / Bumble Bee hybrid USB dev kit for $5 (USD)

Thanks for the reply. Yes, they may die off, but the fact is that there are tons of parents out there who are tired of paying $60 a game for their kids to play. While it may slow down greatly, there will most likely always be a market.

Yeah exactly ahaha, a "mom" called not a long time ago to ask me
if i could downgrade the ps3 slim of his son because it's on 3.50...
(i made a lil biz around my place, selling downgrades @ their home for 20 eur.)
So even the downgrade market is still open !
At least i could get back the money i invested in my dongle (psjb paid 99 eur)
    and even more than that
