Can anyone please help me out and give me some help on what I need to
Buy to jb and downgrade? I would also like to know what the best jb USB option is to get as iv read there are clones out there that r no good!

Lads I'm not a total n00b but as far a ps3 jb is I am... Iv been modding 360s a lot with no prob so il pick up fast I just would love if ye here could get me started and I hope when I have it down to a tee I can return the favour and help someone else.

So basically I need to know what I need to buy, were to buy from (I'm in Ireland) after that when I got the right jb stuff I think I will get the hang of the rest myself (I hope haha)

So, what you want is someone else to do all the research for you and then tell you exactly what to do step by step? Good luck with that. First, if you'd like help, I'd suggest you get your facts straight. The newest firmware for the PS3 is 3.55. If you're on that, you can't downgrade/jailbreak. Period. As for the rest of your post, most people find it annoying when someone is asking for help, but can't even be bothered with the simple things like spelling out all their words and not using punctuation. Maybe cleaning up your post, and restating your facts will get you more help.

Ok, I'll try to help a bit. But I don't use a dongle, I use an Ipod, so I have no knowledge of the differences in dongles. But if you have an Ipod, many will work, also many modern cell phones will work. If you are on 3.50, then you need to make sure you pick a device which can downgrade as well as JB. Ipods can, I think androids can, most devices can. If you updated your PS3 this week, then it is on 3.55, and you are out of luck. If you don't have a device already capable like an Ipod, perhaps someone else can point you in the right direction. Rockbox-PSGroove is what you need for Ipods. See here, it tells you all the Ipods that work, and there is an installer program if you are not tefch friendly.

But thx u seem to have made a good effort at trying to show me a way of doing it "but" iv not got a iPod iv a iPhone 4 and from the research iv done that's no good

On a better note my ps3 is on 3.50 so I can downgrade lovely jubbly ha.


Now that I know my ps3 is running fw 3.50 plz lads just help me get started, I wanna buy the proper tools for this. With some luck what I learn from here I can pass onto someone else someday yano.
