N00b Alert! - JB Question

So being new to the PS3 JB community I wanted to get some advise as to some appz that are essential ... Currently our "FAT" PS3 YLOD and I was able to revive it with the trusty heating gun! After going through the format steps I loaded KMEAW's CFW 3.55 and multiman. What I'd like to do with this is be able to back up my kids games (yes I have 3 teens and you know how they like to treat games when their finished - COASTERS!) and (if there's a way) be able to re-burn the images. I'm also a huge music fan so using the PS3 as a UPNP server would be nice. I'm also a 'utility' guy and like to tinker with new appz. So where so I start? What appz do you guys find as your 'essentials' that you use? Tks for the inputs...

You dont need to burn games for the ps3
get a good hard drive if you have many games get 1TB or above i got 1tb personally put your disc into your console and use the copy option on multiman with your external plugged in not too sure about the music if you like to tinker with new apps follow the guide on the front page and tinker around with linux on your console =)

and the extrnal hard drive has to be formated to a FAT23

Kmeaw Lv2 Patcher 6 or 9 - run all your appZ
Rebug 3.60 Spoof - play 3.56 games
MultiMAN w/ Permissions Fix, Last Game, and BDEMU (make sure you get the KM version, and not the WT)
Rogero Manager - Launch "Black Screen" games automatically
Iris Manager - Launch "Split-File" games
Any FTP app
Showtime - Media Player
Emulators - NES, SNES, Etc
Etc

PS3 Media Server
XBSlink - For PSN alternative

Some in PC homebrew

Eboot Fix and Eboot Mod - for multiman, etc
MFWBuilder - build/edit O/C/MFWz (Use this right away if you do NOT want your PS3 to contact sony everytime you use the internet)
Noobi3 - For noobZ, and every1
